We are all unique and I believe that there should be no rules when the time comes to say our final farewell…”

a celebration
of life

I help the bereaved to create a unique, loving but dignified final farewell that celebrates the life & character of the deceased.
The funeral service should reflect the wishes of the deceased and the bereaved and not the beliefs or ideology of the person conducting the service. Therefore I have a more open-minded approach & offer three types of service/ceremony…
religious service
As a Registered, Independent Minister I have developed a service that has all the usual elements of a clergy-led funeral service but I have found that by leaving out the ‘preaching element’ we still have more than enough time to celebrate the life and character of the deceased in a dignified and respectful way.
My service can include contemporary music & poetry choices as well as the usual Hymns, Prayers and Blessings.

civil / light christian
Becoming more and more popular, the ceremony reflects the beliefs of the deceased and their families and are a celebration of the life of the deceased.
They can include hymns or prayers if that is what you wish. Alternatively, they can have poems, favourite music, images, videos etc.
Generally speaking, you get more time to share the life story of the deceased with this type of ceremony.
Funeral Livestream Service

Since the Pandemic, I have teamed up with a good friend to offer MCR Livestream & AV Services. We offer not only Livestream services but always include a multi camera recording of the Funeral Service as a back up or keepsake video which can be shared, accessed and/ downloaded by anyone given access by the family. We have settled on the Zoom platform for the livestream as most people are comfortable using the platform.
We bring our own WiFi hub which usually gives us enough signal to transmit the livestream around the World however, due to location, we cannot guarantee the signal strength and that’s where the recording can be useful.
We can also offer Audio and Visual equipment for presentations in Church and if a very large congregation then maybe a small PA outside.

non-religious or civil ceremony
A non-religious service is just that. It is for people with strongly-held atheist or humanist beliefs but can still be very moving and reflect and celebrate the life of the deceased.
Traditionally there would be no hymns sung or prayers said at these types of funeral but again, favourite songs and verses could be used instead.
